This Privacy Policy explains what information the BlueSaga team ("we", "us") collects when you use the BlueSaga game, its launcher, game servers and this website (the "Service"), and how we use it. We collect as little as we need to run the game.

1. Information we collect

When you play the game:

• Email address — only if you register an account. It is used to send you a login code and to identify your account. Guest accounts have no email address.
• Account and game data — your account id, characters, names, inventory, progress, friends list, crew membership and similar gameplay data.
• Chat and in-game content — messages you send in chat and text you write in the game, which are delivered to other players and may be logged for moderation.
• Technical data — your IP address, connection times and server logs, used for security, abuse prevention (such as bans) and troubleshooting.

When you visit this website:

• We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. It gives us aggregate statistics such as page views, countries, browser types and clicks on download and social links.
• The trailer is embedded from YouTube. YouTube may set cookies and collect data when you play the video, under Google's Privacy Policy.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when serving them.

2. How we use your information

• To create and run your account and let you log in.
• To operate the game, save your progress and let you play with others.
• To moderate the community, enforce the Terms of Service and protect the Service against cheating and abuse.
• To fix bugs, balance the game and understand how the game and website are used.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not send marketing emails.

3. Legal basis

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, we process your data because it is necessary to provide the game you asked to use (contract), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the Service secure, fair and working well.

4. Sharing

We only share data with services that help us run BlueSaga:

• Our email provider (Google Gmail), to deliver login codes.
• Our server hosting provider, which stores the game data.
• Umami, for anonymous website statistics.

Your character name, chat messages and other in-game content are visible to other players. We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Social media

We post game videos and updates on our own social media accounts (TikTok, YouTube, Discord, Reddit, Facebook, Bluesky). We use these platforms' official tools only to publish our own content; we do not collect personal data about you through them. When you interact with us there, the platform's own privacy policy applies.

6. Data retention

• Guest accounts are deleted automatically after 30 days without activity.
• Registered accounts and their game data are kept while the account exists. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
• Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To use these rights, contact us (see below). If you are in the EU/EEA, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

BlueSaga is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, such as encrypted login tokens. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
